At the heart of this formula is rare Tsubaki Seed Oil, cultivated from Camellia japonica plants that were carefully flown in from China and Japan and nurtured on our farm in collaboration with Houston’s Japanese Garden Conservatory. These plants, tended over a decade, yield an exquisite oil that feels almost dry to the touch, absorbing effortlessly into the skin. It is perfect for those whose skin often finds oils overwhelming, providing a silky, lightweight finish while delivering deep emollience and nourishment. Revered for centuries in ancient beauty rituals, Tsubaki Oil was traditionally used pure to beautify both skin and hair.

To complement this rare oil, we turned to the unmatched elegance of jasmine. We use two types: Jasminum grandiflorum, the “royal jasmine” known for its therapeutic properties and long-standing use in perfumery, and Jasminum sambac, a rarer Asian variety celebrated in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic practices. While we respect the therapeutic potential of essential oils, we acknowledge concerns about their potential to cause sensitivity. To address this, we use supercritical CO₂ extraction for our jasmine—a method that captures the complete plant profile in a form superior to essential oils that is also well-tolerated by all skin types. Though it retains trace amounts of essential oil components, the levels are magnitudes lower than traditional essential oils, offering a elevated, yet gentle approach.

Our jasmine cell extract uses a third form of jasmine, Jasminum officinale, the common variety and also the most robust. This innovative extract enhances the skin’s ability to resist external aggressors, strengthen the skin matrix, and amplify its natural radiance. By stimulating the skin’s own regenerative processes, it encourages renewal and vitality at a cellular level.
