Do I need a face mist?
We get it, the step between cleansing and serums often feels non-essential. But our face mists are created with high-concentration actives. In fact, unlike most face mists, our base formula doesn't even use water, nor alcohol -- we use bio-active plant hydrols that are incredibly nutritive, hydating, and healing.
Post cleanse, the skin has a small window to replenish hydration and receiving conditioning that will help to take on serums and moisturizers. This is where our face mists can really supplement the hydration step that is often overlooked, and strengthen the skin microbiome for functional skin health.
Will this face mist dry my skin out?
A lot of face mists have the undesired consequence of dehydrating the skin further because of the following reasons:
1. They have alcohol which can dry out the skin, and damage the skin barrier.
2. They're water-based, so when the mist evaporates, it actually whisks away moisture leading to a net negative.
3. They're formulated with hyaluronic acid that don't effectively penetrate the skin, which ends up drawing moisture from within to the outside.
Our formula is alcohol-free, does not use a water-base, and is formulated with humectants including an ultra-low molecular weight hyaluronic acid complex, and hyaluronic acid analogs like Snow Mushroom and Tamarind Seed Extract that provide true lasting hydration.
