I see Liquid Courage as the ultimate skin treatment to revive and rejuvenate the complexion, whether you’re navigating time zones or enduring busy periods. The original formula, loved by many, remains largely untouched in the oil component of our formula.
However, innovation led me to enhance our Vitamin C approach. The new formula includes three stable, proven forms of Vitamin C: the oil-soluble form that is both powerful and gentle, considered pharmaceutical grade in Japan and Korea, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, a stabilized water-soluble form of Vitamin C that is especially beneficial for sensitive skin with high bioavailability and rapid absorption, and L-Ascorbic Acid, a chiral form of the most studied and scientifically backed form of topical Vitamin C that delivers performance with improved stability and markedly heightened skin favorability.
We've also innovated the C+E Ferulic Acid synergy with the addition of Calcium PCA, a skin-calming, barrier-replenishing humectant that improves transdermal Vitamin C absorption, and Alpha Lipoic Acid, a soothing antioxidant naturally produced by the body. How to Use
Apply the skin has been cleansed and toned. Lighter water-based serums should be applied before oils or mixed together.
• Shake well to activate the concentrate into a milky emulsion.
• Dispense 1-3 pumps onto the palm. The amount needed will differ from a half pump to 5-7 full pumps based on individual skin condition and needs. Use a light hand when introducing into a regimen, starting with just 1 full pump and adjusting to the desired amount based on skin feedback.
• Bring fingers from the free hand together with the emulsion so it is dispersed on both hands. The palm will serve as the passive-smoothing instrument while the fingers provide more targetted massage for optimal absorption.
• Press palm on cheeks and forehead and use fingers to gently massage skin in upward motions moving away from the center of the face.
• Pay attention to press the emulsion treatment into fine lines, wrinkles, and areas prone to dryness. Also beneficial for areas with uneven pigmentation, sun damage, and fatigue.
• Massage along temples and jawline, the emulsion serves as a conduit to ease tension and lift stress.
• Use daily morning and evening.
• You may notice the emulsion treatment remain slightly milky on the skin, this is a normal process and helps to oxygenate the skin. It should subside within 15-20 seconds.

Liquid Courage Antioxidant Serum is a bi-phase serum. Bi-phase means having two phases that are separated until activated. So it functions as an antioxidant serum, Vitamin C(E Ferulic Acid) serum, and face oil in one!
Is the clear glass packaging going to impact the performance of the antioxidants?
Antioxidants are notoriously susceptible to degradation from light and oxygen. This is top of mind when we formulate products, especially in the case of Liquid Courage, which is an antioxidant serum. We've incorporated several processes, ranging from lipid encapsulation to stability agents, to ensure that the antioxidants in our serum retain their integrity and potency. This is partly why the formula is bi-phasic—to ensure the freshness and bioactivity of the antioxidants. Our clinical testing verifies that the performance of our products is not compromised during real world use.
Our approach to formulation remains centered on performance, with all other aspects, including packaging design, serving that goal. The clear glass bottle further ensures the emulsion is properly activated with each use.
Should antioxidant serums be used in the day or night time for best results?
Both! Antioxidant serums work during the day to protect and shield the skin from environmental aggressors. At night, they repair and heal the skin. Both modalities are necessary and beneficial to the skin.
Is Liquid Courage photo-sensitizing?
Liquid Courage is not photo-sensitizing, in fact, it can be layered under your daytime sunscreen to provide a boost in protection.
Our Vitamin C and Antioxidant Serum does not contain citrus derivatives, nor commonplace forms of Vitamin C that can be unstable when exposed to sunlight.
What did you remove from the old Liquid Courage?
We kept the oil-composition of the bi-phasic formula mostly the same as the old Liquid Courage. We did remove soy peptides, which makes the formula friendlier for those with soy sensitivities.
In its place, we incorporated a clinical Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline Peptide, which further supports collagen synthesis, improves skin firmness, and lessens the appearance of fine lines.
Does this have the 'metallic-ham' Vitamin C serum smell?
Scent can be interpreted differently from person to person. We don't add fragrance (natural nor artificial) to our formulas, and all product scents are a byproduct of the ingredients used.
Our clinical test group found the light, subtle scent of Liquid Courage to be quite pleasing. If you've used the previous version of Liquid Courage, it has a similar neroli-like scent/
